Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by the LINXQR team to explain, in plain language, what information we handle when you build and share a digital business card.
Last updated 30 July 2026
1. Who we are
LINXQR provides hosted digital business cards, booking pages and related analytics. In this policy, “we” refers to the operator of LINXQR, and “you” refers to an account holder or a visitor to a published card.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and authentication details when you sign up or sign in.
- Card content: everything you deliberately publish — job title, bio, contact details, photos, social links and services.
- Booking information: names, email addresses, optional phone numbers, time zones and notes submitted by people who book time with you.
- Usage data: page visits, contact saves and booking counts, aggregated for the analytics shown in your dashboard.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and timestamps captured in ordinary server and security logs.
3. How we use it
- To create, host and display your card at its public link.
- To operate scheduling: showing availability, recording bookings and sending confirmations.
- To show you visit, save and booking statistics for your own cards.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and troubleshoot faults.
- To contact you about account, billing or service matters.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your card content to build advertising profiles.
4. Public cards are public
Anything you publish on a card is intended to be shared. When a card is published it can be viewed by anyone with the link and may be indexed by search engines. Unpublish a card at any time from your dashboard to remove it from public view.
5. Service providers
We rely on infrastructure providers for hosting, database storage, file storage, authentication and email delivery. They process data on our instructions only and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
6. Retention
Account and card data are kept for as long as your account is active. Booking records are kept so both parties have a history of past appointments. When you delete a card or your account, the associated content is removed from the live service; residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
7. Your choices
- Access and correct your information directly in the card editor and account settings.
- Export your contact details at any time using the vCard download on your own card.
- Delete individual cards, or your entire account, from the dashboard.
- Request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us — see the Help page.
8. Children
LINXQR is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
9. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
10. Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent through the Help page. We aim to respond to every request within five business days.
